Community College and University Trustees in Texas are required by statute to participate in training established by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Each fall, the Coordinating board hosts a conference to provide training on accountability, conflicts of interest, ethics, financial management, and the budgeting process-all specific to governing Community Colleges in Texas.
All new Community College trustees are required to complete this training and testing during the first year of the new term. If you are a new trustee, please click on the link to view the videos and complete the exam. Co Board Governance Training
