Community College Advocates

One of the vital roles of Community College Trustees is to advocate for the college at the state and national level to ensure passage of legislation that positively impacts the college and/or district.

The Research Division of the Texas Legislative Council, which provides professional, nonpartisan service and support, has outlined the Legislative Process in Texas and other resources such as the Texas Legislature Online.

The Advocates Network was created to help connect the greatest asset of our institutions – people. The Website provides opportunities for community college supporters to engage with issues, legislation, and legislators. Supporters can also join the network by becoming an Advocate and assist CCATT and TACC with efforts at the Capitol on behalf of the state's Community Colleges. Join the Advocates Network to stay informed of legislative events in Austin and in Washington, DC.
